The Day they Stole our Children
On September 4th 2023, we gathered to share songs and stories from those that attended and survived the institutions that we know as Indian Residential Schools. The September long weekend is marked by mourning for many Indigenous families as they remember it as the time each year when the children were taken away to residential schools. On the long weekend of September 2024, the Wheel of Life Society will host a two-day ceremony to support our residential survivors, share their stories of survival and resilience, and to remember those who never made it home. All are welcome to join us for this ceremony — more details will be released in the summer of 2024.

Men’s and Women’s Retreats
Our programs are designed to address the personal and inter-generational abuses (mental, emotional, physical, and sexual) of Residential Schools.
Through the teachings of natural law, the elders help us revive a cultural, traditional, and spiritual way of life at the core of our Souls.
Traditional teachings open many doors for our clientele, helping ground themselves within their cultural identity, connecting their heads to their hearts, and revitalizing their spiritual connection with our Mother.
On the Land Teachings
It's been said by Elder Chief Tmicwh (Roger Adolph) that our land is sacred, he told the story of medicine man mountain and how it was used as a training ground for our medicine people.
As quoted by my grandfather Chris Bob “if you don't use the land, you lose the land.” Having said that, we have decided the land will be utilized as sacred ceremonial grounds to help people find and revitalize their connection to Mother Earth.

Other programs, like the Wheel of Life, are designed for the entire human family to listen and connect to our Mother Earth. These teachings help us understand and capture the disconnection in our society and they give our human family the necessary tools to create a better foundation four our lives. These teachings open the doors of change.
Founders
Guided by visions given by the spirit of our ancestors and a deep-rooted relationship with our sister organization — the Turtle Lodge in Sagkeeng, Manitoba; we have decided to move forward with building a healing house. For the betterment of the generations yet to be born, we are a house of knowledge and provide land based teachings to help all our relations. We, as people of the land are born with the responsibility to pass on the knowledge as a mandate given to us by the Creator.
