I was born and raised on the prairies of Colorado. There I developed a passion for my environment through hunting and fishing. I moved north to pursue an education in conservation policy. After I finished my schooling, I moved to St’at’imc territory to be closer to my adopted family. My educational and ceremonial experiences have taught me about the interconnections between the health of the human family and the health of our environment. I believe that as we begin to heal ourselves so to will we heal our planet.

I am from northern Alberta and I’m Metis on my father’s side and Cree on my mother’s side. I am part of the 60’s Scoop and have sought out traditional culture and ceremonies to aid me in my healing. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Aboriginal studies and have conducted academic research on indigenous community development. Having worked with indigenous organizations, I have gained an appreciation of effective supports for indigenous clients. I have worked with an indigenous, cultural-based treatment program (Together We Can) and developed a culture-based approach to helping clients with addictions. I currently live in Vancouver. I make ceremonies a priority and am active in the indigenous community here in the Lower Mainland.
